Marilyn Santiago is a native of upstate New York, formerly lived in Boston, Massachusetts and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been in the relationship building business since she can remember. Her motto in life is twofold…. “Make a Difference in Someone’s Life Every Day” and “Be Good to Yourself”. And without a doubt, she lives by these words!
Marilyn is an inclusive and action oriented human resource professional with an in-depth knowledge of all HR functional areas. She is extremely creative and a think-out-of-the- box leader. Her specialty is leading employee relations, program implementation and change management initiatives that drive strategic culture improvements. Her background includes 15+ years of in-depth human resources experience in multiple divisions and multiple sites for companies like GE, Honeywell and G.H. Bass. Marilyn is also Six Sigma Greenbelt certified and has LEAN manufacturing experience.
She is the Owner and CEO of Marilyn Santiago & Company a consultation firm that provides human resource based contract services to corporations, organizations and non-profit entities. Also, Marilyn Santiago & Company offers individual job seekers and groups career support services. They present resume critiques, resume building, interview skill analysis, personal branding, outplacement workshops and full service personal job search coaching.
Marilyn is also the Chairperson and Senior Human Resource Team Leader for a non-profit group called THOSE IN BETWEEN JOBS (TIBS). This is a Ministry for church and community members that are facing unemployment, under employment and career transition. This group meets every TUESDAY at 7:00 p. m. at Ben Hill United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. TIBS provides these free services: job search preparation (tools, resources and guidance), networking opportunities, interviewing skills practice, top industry speakers, internet job search techniques, 30 second introduction speech preparation, job leads and spiritual support.
And Marilyn’s newest venture is that of SVP, Profile Coach Leader and Co – Founder of a new Company with Jim Browning called Your Profile Now! She provides services to build your profile on Linked In for those who do not know how, don’t want to take the time or just want professional help! Her services allow for your personal profile to become extremely searchable by employers, clients, potential clients/business partners, business associates, long lost friends, old classmates, recruiters, etc.
First and foremost, Marilyn is the proud parent of a Temple University honor student in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her daughter is an accomplished performance poet, writer, spoken word artist, teacher and event host.
